sorry, don't think I'll be able to make it tonight, there's a slight chance I might still be able to fit it in, but at this point it doesn't look like it

Well the Monday date is quite bad for people from different timezones, I think weekend would be much better, people can play even at less appropriate times like 3:00 am rather than during the working week.
So to be less selfish could result in better participation, more people from Europe, Poland etc. would join.

I didn't chose monday for my own personal reasons. it just happened to be what seemed to work for people before. I had asked in another thread if there was a day people prefered, and none said that monday was bad, exept karl. but he said as long as it was at 6:30pm it was fine. I have no prblem having it any day of the week at any time. so i disagree with your selfish comment. Even if the event is durring a time that i'm at work it doesnt matter to me. I'm doing these events souly for the community, not for myself. The reason we had 15 players last time is partly becuase i messaged every one and asked them to sign up. I didn't feel the need to track people down everytime theres a tourney. so i didn't message anyone this time. and low n behold barely anyone signed up. I don't think the day of the week was the reason. I think people need to use the forums more regularly. I bet most of the people that participated last time and that didn't sign up this time didn't even read this thread.
But,..next time I will make the tourney for Saturday then,..but some people like to go out on saturdays, so it may not work.
anyhow thanks for your suggestion.
P.s. youll notice Spavacz signed up.The player in the worst time zone was ready to play.

I think Speed Pente is the true test of Pente skill, and would like to see the tournaments continue. Possibly once a month on the 5th?? Thanks Zoeyk for the effort you have put into the Speed endeavor.

I didn't mean my message to be too negative. The fact that Spavacz signed up means nothing, perhaps he is a student, but I cannot imagine how people who are supposed to work during day and sleep during night wake up 3:00 am for playing some night tourney during the week.
