Ever tried 4-color Pente with two players?

Really interested in trying 4-color Pente with the Blooms placement protocol (place one stone of each of your colors, except p1's first turn). I think everything would stay the same, win if one of your colors is a 4-in-a-row, win if 8 opponent stones (of a single color) are captured.
If you're interested in testing it out let me know, either by forum or some other means.

an intriguing concept. i assume the two colors each player controls can only work in limited concert? in other words i couldn't capture a pair with the two different color stones i control. but i could use them to defend each other. is that the premise?

i am unfamiliar with the rules of such a game so please forgive me but another question... do tourney rules apply? i.e. whites second outside 'the box'? and if so, how does that work?

if player 1 is red and blue and player two is yellow and green ... can player 1 capture a yellow/yellow pair w/ a red/blue? can player 1 capture a yellow/green pair from player 2?

I think you've got most of it right, invictus: the colors have to work together but cannot win or capture together, only by themselves. My intention was to NOT allow "mixed" captures (as shown here: https://www.ultraboardgames.com/pente/gfx/game7.jpg) unless it became clear the game was not dynamic enough without them. The BGA implementation was my only experience with 3p or 4p Pente, and I don't think it follows the published ruleset.
My hope was this could replace prior balancing rules, since it brings the 12* placement protocol from Connect6 into a Pente ruleset. Ultimately I think some "tournament"-style rule would have to be adopted regarding the center.
