They haven't officially released the calendar for events yet, but unofficially I've heard that swap2 Pente will be happening at 2:30 PM UTC on Sunday, February 12th. Based on prior years, the time control will likely be 10 min + 5 secs. Seven rounds, lasting roughly 2 hours, based on prior tournaments. I won't be able to participate this year, but am willing to train a US player based on my experiences with swap2 Pente.

Rumor has it that there may be cash prizes for the top finishers (and possibly for a top youth finisher (17 or under y.o.)) as well for both gomoku (played on Sunday, 29 JAN) and Pente.

Yes, it seemed to be an unfortunate day and time. I wasn't able to play either and I don't recall seeing many Estonian players or players from Macau. Perhaps next time the scheduling will work better.
