why does my rating never show

on the right hand side? Are others able to see it?

Because you haven't played any rated live games, only turn-based games. The rating shown for the browsing members is their (live) Pente rating, for the mobile users, it shows the turn-based Pente rating.

Follow up question: How many games do you need to complete to appear in the Leader Board on the Dashboard?

Adding Keryo Pente to the mix

I think it's fifty total sets including drawn ones to show up on the leader board. Not 100% sure, but maybe 90%.

Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat
