Here's a fairly rare one which doesn't seem to have made it onto the list yet, as far as I can tell- extend two blocked threes to tesseras which when they are blocked will allow a double keystone pair capture of the blocking stones. I've mostly seen it as a way for P1 to win certain hammer type formations- such as in this game-
but a similar potential threat existed in the game Karlw and I just finished up at Brainking, a hammer type formation on diagonals-

I think it's comparatively rare to see the ignoring of a tria in a live game by a player who isn't a red, so I thought I'd share this old game by mike321, at move 11 using an extension + capture to create a superior threat of making a four by two caps across the tria.

Nice move by ned indeed.
Another one, variation of what karl said-- "make it so any tessera extension he makes can be capped, opening up a blocked tessera (rare)"
Changed to
make it so any tessera extension he makes can be capped, leading to a win by captures. Meaning, you dont have current cap threat on the 3, but would regardless of which way it gets extended

look at nosovs' 11th move. P13. I can not make a solid 4, because nosovs will get a double capture from it. so im left with either make an extended 4 or block his 3. a devastating move by nosovs.
