I know that turn-based is somewhat of a pale imitation to live play, but aaru has a whale of a tourney shaping up at brainking. So far, he's got richardiii, nosovs, 100per, and s3v3n along with several other top players. Also, I've about got brain008 talked into it and I'm working on jayhawk. I know turn-based isn't the cup of tea for many here but it would be cool if a few of the top players tossed their hat into the ring---hint, hint,up, partica, karl, dweebo, etc.

Thank you for the tip on this tourney (though I know you weren't inviting ME specifically). There are certainly some legendary names entered to this point.
And your point is well taken regarding turn-based versus live play, but for me personally, I find the ticking clock and the five or ten sets of eyes in the room during matches (usually rooting for my opponent) huge distractions at the DSG tourneys in which I've participated and consistently performed poorly. Being watched and being timed are two things that have always given me difficulty no matter what the task, so it is only natural that I perform better in the turn-based version of this game. And the only REAL live way to play is in person, and Partica won the last one of those (that I'm aware of)!
That said, I am sure to be knocked out in the first round at BrainKing!

yeah i hope i make it far enough to get a chance to play him...hopefully the fact that it's a big tournament with big names will compensate for my utter distaste for turn-based.
It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.

I'm pretty sure that the home country shown for a person participating in a BrainKing tournament is drawn from that person's BrainKing profile, so if it's incorrect, the person needs to fix it in their profile and it will automatically be corrected in the tournament listing. I don't believe that there is anything that Aaru can do about it as an individual tournament director.
And Mr. Dweebo, is there a penalty or punishment for brazenly using your forum for discussing tournaments from competing websites? I hereby plead guilty as charged and wish to turn state's evidence in exchange for leniency...

Of course its ok to post and discuss tournaments on other sites here. Sounds like a huge tournament, hopefully once I get turn-based tournaments working here at DSG we'll be able to attract that number as well.

If only we could get more c6 players on here... there are 195 rated on BK!! holy cow haha
Hear that, mel? 195 lol
It's unfortunate, too, cuz c6 is a much better game in real time... a lot more challenging to keep track of rather than in turn-based where you have 7 days/ move
