Back in the day (circa 2003) we used to have weekly (or so) speed pente tourneys with ladders. I'm thinking the KotH system is basically a ladder system, so if people were interested in speed tourneys, they would just need to join the koth room at the appointed time. We used to do double elim sets and finish in a few hours. Tons of fun...
