Hello jhs55,
In an effort to satisfy your urge I shall post a tournament for you. I have a few questions if you don't mind:
1. What time settings would you want on the games? Initial Time = [example: 30 mins] Incremental Time = [example: 5 secs per move]
2. How many days per round? This is typically like a week or two, which allows persons who have entered to setup and complete their match (hopefully). Please specify a number of days.
3. When would you like it to start? Keep in mind some time is needed to allow persons to register for the tournament. Please give a date.
4. Select a format for this tournament: Round Robin Single Elimination Double Elimination Swiss *choose wisely

That would be great to get tournaments going again, I just can't spend the time myself to run them.
One problem you'll soon run into is there is no tournament section at pente.org anymore, since the last redesign I don't have links to it anymore.
The tournaments pages are still there ( http://pente.org/gameServer/tournaments ), but they aren't part of the site structure. That was meant to only be a temporary thing with the last redesign but I have been side-tracked and haven't put it back anywhere.
So once you put the tournament up, I'll add a link button on the dashboard page, and post a message to everyone on their dashboard page about the tournament.

Thanks for your timely response.
Apologies, but I don't believe you can have a separate time for the final round match, must rely on Dweebo's expertise here but I don't see how to do it on the tournament setup page...so, if possible please choose either 20 or 30 min.
Are you sure you want just 7 days for participants to arrange their match and get it completed? Fine by me but past history indicates that might be a little short.
Are you designing the new crown?
As soon as you respond pertaining to the round time limit question and confirm you want 7 day rounds, I will get to posting this tournament. Your prompt response is appreciated.

lets make it simple, 20 mins for all games played.
lets also make it only 7 days per round, yes this is short , but lets not try to drag this out untill the next IRS quarter...,
Dweebo should design this C-6 crown, this crown should be of a lesser stature and of less color and shape than the offical crown used here at pente.org for the pente crown

The biggest complaint from the previous tournament was the time limit per game. 20 min was way too short. In a close game C6 is a lot more time consuming than any other game. The people who play it extensively say that a 30\30 would prob be too short too, but a much better plan in all fairness.
If the time constraints are adjusted i will be interested in playing
