Just a fun (hopefully!) little puzzle: what's the best move for white here?

Yes, I was thinking of F7 as well. Not as quick, but a more interesting move.
Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat

I would go F6, force the block, then challenge the pair on GH

Yes watsu, F7 interesting because not a forcing move per say, but has the value of of a open 3, and creates more than one threat. Its a semi passive multi move that maintains tempo. I guess.

F6,F7,F9 and continued is exactly 8 white moves total. Alternatively, F7 if countered by Black to F8, and continued is and ill guesstimate 13 white moves total. Ball park. And when I say total, im not including original stones in the puzzle. So yes, F6 is more proficient than F7.

Correct G8. For a second I thought you meant G8 in your puzzle. Which, made me think. Because it might work on yours lol.
