Player 1 Tactcs

Have been away from Pente for quite a while, but am coming back. Have been using the "WPente" freeware app to practice and am having real trouble playing tournament rules and being player 1. Dug out my old copy of Tom Braunlich's "Pente Strategy", but am still not doing well as Player 1. Are there any other books/manuals/tutorials out there or maybe a thread/threads in the forum?

Thank you very much for your comment and the link. Will read closely and follow the embedded links with the hope of improving my game. If it does improve, would you mind my requesting a game in the future?

I'm only playing live games and variants these days, but if you catch me in the live game room we can play.

Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat
