Players within the master/grandmaster sections are roughly sorted (many ties). The expert section is not sorted. To qualify for ranking, you must have played at least 15 rated sets in 2019 against players rated >2000 on pente.org.
Factors under consideration, in order of importance:
i. Rated games against top players ii. Performance in March Madness and Pente Masters 2019 tournaments iii. Overall activity and contribution to the game in 2019
Congrats to everyone who made the list and sorry if I overlooked you!

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.

A few more names (perhaps honorable mentions for this year, perhaps names to watch for next year): schmeck, chuchaki, srfarley, coffeeboy1 and madhippo
Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat

As I am writing this, I realized we probably don't have enough participants to change the tournament... It was to add an Expert tournament (1800-2100). I think it would make the winner more surprising.
Just musing at this point, but why not have another color level at 2100? White maybe?
We have players ranked from 1031 to 2798.
Red - 1900 and above (spans 898 points) Yellow - 1700 to 1899 (spans 200 points) Blue - 1400 to 1699 (spans 200 points) Green - 1399 and below (spans 368 points)

There are a lot more active players in the 1800-2100 range than in the 2100+ range currently. Whether there would be enough tournament participants to split it into two, IDK, or whether that would be the best place to make the split. Possibly, it could end up being successful with a split like < 1750, 1751-2000 and > 2000.
