I'm interested in looking at games where one player resigned to his/her opponent before the outcome of the game might initially be readily apparent. After analysis, the resigning party does indeed have a sure loss position, but perhaps it might be a sure loss in 7 or more moves. I've done this a few times myaelf, but generally only when my opponent sends me a list of their next several moves or when the game goes sour so quickly that the outcome is a foregone conclusion.
