I don't know if this is where I should post this, but is there a means of playing 3 - 6 players online or in an app? I had fun playing this variation on the board game, but no one plays irl with me anymore

Not that I know of, I've also never played or heard of it before. Is it just like a 2-player game but with 6 colors and everyone takes a turn?

Yes, there are a few rule differences though like 3's are a point and 4's win the match. There's also team pente.
