after years of battling for points (note my rating, lol) i have come to realize that most everyone plays unrated these days. seems to me that unrated should be an opportunity for exploring openings/ option moves w/ players agreeing to simply study the move. which i find admirable. but just to play risk free seems ... less than
to me that shows a lack of investment. no offense to the big players but if you earn that rating then defend it! yes you could lose hundreds of points as red losing to a green but isnt this what the game is about?unrated games are like skirmishes... nobody seeks the playoffs anymore. i applaud the white crown winners for putting it on the line its the spirit i refer to now to their credit some do and my point is this... if you are bad enuff to earn it then be bold enuff to defend it against any just my thoughts
