Pente real-life youth tournament
Posted: Mar 28, 2025, 1:45 PM

Hi all!

As I understand, most of players here are Americans. Nevertheless =) We are organizing a real-life renju tournament, namely Youth European Championship, and we are going to include a Pente blitz as an event.

Is there anybody interested in it? Sorry, but only youth (age 25-) can take part.

And the last but not the least.
I feel that this community is a main world Pente-related community. Is it OK if I name this event as "Pente Youth European Blitz Championship"? What do you think?

I will spread the word about it online, and I think the name is fine. It's hard enough getting site members here to oarticipate in real time online events, that probably there will be no one interested from here, but it doesn't hurt to promote it here I think vint.ee, piskvorky, gomoku club, boardgamearena, maybe some of the UK MSO people will attract more interest in it, though.

18 participants.

Of course, we played swap-2 pente, not the unbalanced site version.

As expected, nobody from the internet, only real-life players from different renju and gomoku clubs took part.

3+2 is the same time control as used in the weekly vint.ee swap2 Pente tournamemts. I see one Czech player (4th place) who played live who has also participated in some of the weekly vint.ee tournaments.
