There were some Pente tournaments organized in Poland (I'm not sure exactly who the organizers were), but I think the most recent one was about a decade ago. Even for this gomoku tournament, I think they only had 8 players including a few from oter European countries, unless they got some late registrations.
Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat
