Strange doubled up stone play in D Pente

Just now, when I tried to propose a D Pente position it continually placed two adjacent stones of opposite colors at once at/near the location I wanted to play my first stone at. I backed up, zoomed in and repeatedly tried to place a single stone on the board, but was not successful.
Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat

In order to better hunt down this bug. Are you playing on a touch screen? Is the screen zoomed in somewhere or is the full page visible? Can you make sure to reload before you try again? If it is a touch screen, could you move your finger around over the board a bit before releasing? And repeat this for the other moves? Is this in a browser (which one) and is it an Android or iOS device?

touch screen, often zoomed in, yes. Kindle device. I'll try the things you've indicated and report back. ETA: moving my finger around on the board before placing the stone seemed to make it work okay. I was also logged out on the device, so I logged back in, which may have helped too.
