Hey Dmitri.. too bad you didn't reregister to republican for the presidential primary. You have no voice and it is too late to do it in the socialist state of Maryland..November 19th was the dead line I think..I once considered my self a independent too. Though even at the age of 18 when it was ness..to register for the draft I recognized the importance to be able to vote for a primary. Ron Paul rock on!

Hey Ukie..thanks for the support..The Dr.Paul movement is not easily defined. Most people are more educated on nascar and the NFL. They have little understanding of the gold standard or Austrian economics. My country will never wake up until it want's to take control of its own money and not a fiat currency dictated by international bankers. We have supporters all over the world.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07TVBLFroSM&eurl=http://freeman4liberty.blogspot.com/2007/11/boston-tea-party-hits-europe.html

We libertarians know what he is about and republicans will vote for him because he is republican. I agree with dimitri that many people are either too dumb or too lazy to really investigate what is really going on. Many do not WANT to know for fear of having to exercise courage and stand up to friends and family who have been demopublicans forever. A GREAT book was Murray Rothbards' "For a New Liberty" and Robert Ringers "Restoring The American Dream"

Not that I would ever want to live South of the 49th...
But... Being Canadian I Would recommend voting a Republican from Texas into office, But only because I like that the value of the Canadian dollar has increased over 40 cents since bush has been in office... now thankfully buying items from America are way cheaper then local, even after shipping. But If I lived in the dust bowl you call home I would vote for Barack Obama, hopefully he could bring the change you desperately need. But that’s my opinion, And Its always interesting to hear what others think.

Sam are you really serious... Obama? lol!! I guess you wanted to yank my chain or else you are completely ignorant of american finance. Ever hear of the federal reserve bank? Our politicians have nothing to do with it. These international bankers print the money off whenever it feels it serves it needs. So therefore major inflation. Dr. Paul is a expert concerning this. He is the only man that has continuously stood up to the illegal federal reserve for over 30 years. Yes your dollar is stronger than the American dollar for now..But beware Sam the Amero is coming..Soon you are in the same boat with the US, Mexico,...Yes he is a republican from Texas , but his background is as a doctor. Not a trial lawyer. Not a skull and bones Ivy league man. Not a rhodes scholar. Not a millionaire. Study the man a little please.

Republican primary:
Ron Paul as with any Libertarian has a snowball's chance in hell to win the primary much less the presidency, even if he runs on the Republican ticket.
The Republican Christian base will never support Mitt Romney because he is Mormon, making him in many of their views, a cultist.
Rudy Giuliani was(prob still is) pro-abortion, so will loose much of the religious right support even with Pat Robertson's support. His strong image during a crisis, and his anti-terrorist stance will be a plus for him though and could help him in the long run in the presidential election vs a Clinton ticket.
Fred Thompson does not present himself as well as he does in his TV roles and will not win because of it.
John McCain has never had the humph to carry the day, and he's too supportive of the war, which would prob be ok during the primary, but may turn many of the fence riders away from his ticket in the presidential election.
Alan Keyes is a great statesman, but has no chance of winng a bid.
Mike Huckabee has a strong chance, because of his strong conservative views, and is well spoken and charismatic enough to pull a good many votes.
Personally I would like to vote for a Huckabee/Keyes ticket or perhaps a Huckabee/Thompson ticket.

Dr. Ron Paul feels abortion is a states right issue and the federal government should not be sticking their nose into our personal business. Birthright citizenship is not something I want my tax dollars paying for. Look at how many hospitals are closing down due to illegal emigration. Yes perhaps we need a federal healthcare program. Maybe uncle sam will give me 10 cents for every dollar I earn when it is paid for. Well he may print off a few more billion this week then it is worth 7 cents..learn higher finance..We need a standard for the American currency. Dr. Paul has the cure..Go back to gold. Fiat currencies have failed historically every time.

Ah the huckster..too funny..R3.. I guess you do not have a problem with the great tax increaser? What about all his pardons? I think around 700 or so? I wonder who was paid off..As governor of ack Arkansas..He has let go and pardoned some serious dirt bags. That went on to recommit even more serious crimes. Not my idea of a decent person or even a man fit for the title of dog catcher.

Most everyone, I imagine. And Ron Paul has said he doesn't want to go back to the gold standard. Either way, he's still way, way too out there to ever have a chance of being elected.

yes he does want to go back on the gold standard. I heard it with my own ears and I have met him in person. It is the truth. He does have a chance and he has plenty of money..all on line..get your facts straight. November 5th almost 5 million one day..next big day is the anniversary of the boston tea party..anniversary. 16th I predict 7 million..maybe more..He is a front runner..you will see. underground internet candidate..lol...screw cnn and all the main stream media that is financed by international bankers..the web is supporting dr. ron paul.
