I'd like to see The Bridge now (the film, not the bridge).
I watched a few films recently.. Babel was good, but very heavy!!!!
Another I saw was Dead Man's Shoes, which is extrememly violent, so it's hard for me to say that I thought it was good... It gets good ratings: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419677/
I quite liked another - Frozen Land. It is set in Helsinki, and is based on a story by Leo Tolstoy (The Forged Coupon). I thought it was a pretty good film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388318/

I am a serious fan of eccentric movies, and my latest recommendation it as good as they get in the eccentric really grab you out there flicks. But if you want to watch it you must follow my instructions to the letter. Trust me it is worth the effort.
1st. when you load the dvd and the 1st opening credit starts you will see a black screen. Pause it at this point, and turn off all the lights in the room.
2nd. Adjust your screen picture brightness so that the background of the movie is totally black.
3rd. Make sure you will not be disturbed or interrupted during the viewing.
4th. If possible toke the best weed you have ever smoked. LOL!
5th View the movie. Experience the thing.
You will probably never view a more bazaar, yet interesting and well acted movie.

Movies That I Like.

Today I watched Breakfast on Pluto. It's a great film - I loved it! (or as ye across the water say.. movie). There is so much going on in the film. I really enjoyed it in the way that I like to enjoy films. It had humour, it had emotion, and there was a good story, told from a very different perspective. There was a fantasty element, and there was also a stark reality of what was actually (and now historically) happening at the time (as the film is set in a few decades back).
there is a good selection of music in the film, and delightful flamboyance of the cross dressing main character in the film.
As ever I don't want to give away anything in the film - for me, it ticks all the right boxes and pushes all the right buttons. I was pleasantly surprised at how good I thought this movie, as I didn't think it would be as good as it was.

I didn't quite make it through all five pages of this thread but did anyone mention "Billy Jack"? That and "They Call me Trinity" are classics. And don't forget "Blazing Saddles"!!

Two Words: "Fido". Set in 1950's (ish) suburbia,-"Welcome to Willard, a small town lost in the idyllic world of the '50s, where the sun shines every day, everyone knows their neighbor, and rotting zombies deliver the mail. Years ago, the Earth passed through a cloud of space dust, causing the dead to rise with a craving for human flesh. A war began, pitting the living against the dead. In the ensuing revolution, a corporation was born: ZomCon, who defeated the legions of undead, and domesticated the zombies, making them our industrial workers, our domestic servants- a productive part of society. ZomCon would like the people of Willard to believe they have everything under control...but do they? Timmy Robinson doesn't think so. At eleven, Timmy already knows the world is phoney baloney--Mom and Dad just won't admit it. Now ZomCon's head of security has moved in across the street and Timmy's Mom refuses to be the only housewife on the street who doesn't have a zombie of her own. When she brings a zombie servant home, Timmy discovers a new best friend, and names him Fido. And even though Dad has a bad case of zombie phobia, Timmy is determined to keep Fido, even if he does eat the odd person... Sometimes, it takes a dead man to teach us all what it means to be alive."

Mr Lynch, are you the real D Lynch? I know a friend of yours (or so he says).
I saw The Darjeeling Limited today and yeah, I liked it. Another film I'd recommend moreso is Life is a Miracle. It's a very long film, being nearly 2 and a half hours, but it is really good. A bizarre movie set in Bosnia 1992. check it out, especially if you liked Darjeeling Ltd... http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=58561
I saw Cloverfield and I am Legend recently, and was disappointed with them both. Being a fan of Lost, I expected Cloverfield to be a lot better.. (Don't believe the hype!)
I like Nicholas Cage too globule, I think he's an interesting, unique actor.
