To Delgr Yes, Subirian Barbey good movie, but seems tragedy... May be you can not use DVD because we have SECAM (DK may be I don't remember) standart TV and USA standart is NTCC. If your device has support different standarts just change options in Menu TV or DVD.

I just watched Tsotsi. It was pretty good. I don't really want to describe the storyline, even though it's written on the back cover, and mostly predictable, but the storyline isn't really what the film is about. It is well made, and it pretty much captivated me. It's the sort of film I like, though it mightn't appeal to others, as it's heavy. But I like heavy, and it's kinda violent too, but that's in sync with the type of story and environment of the film (i.e. a township near Johannesburg). I'd recommend it, though it was based on a book, and you can kind of tell (you can imagine chapters or chunks of the book that were skipped or truncated to make it fit into the film format) - I'd like to read the book, as I imagine it's more powerful than the film, which is also very moving in places. Overall, a thumbs up from me.

If you haven't seen "the Good Shepherd" its a must see if you're into spy/intrigue. I watched it with my 11 year old and had to explain a lot of the twists, but he's a huge fan of The Bourne Identity and Supremacy so he wouldn't miss it for the world seein's how Matt Damon stars (I'm sure that Angelina's supporting role wasn't exactly a deterrant for him either lol). Anyhoo Damon plays Edward Wilson, a pivotal figure in the formation of the CIA and a character who I thought exemplified the sensibilities of that era in an interesting and believable fashion. I was somewhat taken back also by Angelina's handling of her character who unlike her typical typecast was a bit downtrodden and vulnerable. Anyway, I'm not a critic, but its a nailbiter and if youre into twists, this one delivers the goods.

Dejavu with Denzel Washington just came out on dvd this past week and was quite good in my opinion. It seems very fast faced for a movie just over 2 hours long.
I agree Merk! That movie was great...and talk about twists!
Have you seen What Dreams May Come? It stars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robin Williams. It's not your typical, mainstream (i know redundant) movie. A decent watch.
What Dreams May Come (A bit thoughtprovoking) Two thumbs up.

I think I have seen that film a few years ago (What Dreams May Come). It's a good one as I remember, but I'd need to see it again. Sometimes having a poor memory can be a blessing of a sort - it means I get to enjoy things over and over again.
(It's not so great when I buy something like food that I can't remember that I didn't like after the first time I bought it though....)
