An Optional Cool Pente/Gomoku Board-

FYI: For all the Pente/Go Moku/Renju players out there- the game "Blokus"(Mattel) has a molded, silver-colored plastic grid playing board(20x20 squares) that can be also used to play the five in a row games very easily, using the smaller sized(1/2" diameter) GO stones or glass gems. It's a modern style, metalic silver "tablette" type gameboard(12 3/4" square x 1" tall). I had a smaller travel-type GO set with plastic stones that fit well inside the squares. As the grid is molded and raised, the stones slip somewhat if played on the intersections, but you could try it that way.

the raised grid makes this not practical for playing pente, and at the price you can buy a 1980s vinyl board.

True- you've got a point there, the pieces would'nt stay in place. Best to stick with a regular flat surface.
