I'm pretty sure seven moves is the shortest win for P1 if P2 plays to prolong here. This is a position from a recent game I played. As a puzzle, probably not too challenging, but it takes all levels, right?

Unfortunately, I don't have the actual game moves, but I think you can use the following (and ignore the stones at bottom and pretend the caps are as stated here).
The first board is the position (minus the cap situation), where P1 needs 3 more caps or Pente in 7 or fewer moves without giving up 2 more caps. The best defense (to prolong) which I found for P2 will be shown on the following board
As far as I can see, K8 is the only move which leads to a win in 7 (perhaps the only winning line period) and if P2 responds @ L9 instead of O12, P1 wins in 6...
