Jayhawklov, you sound like a crazed lunatic. Who exactly is losing a chance at living a long life? I thought your story was about how Pente helped you score with a girl at a bar? What does that have to do with anyone not living a long life?
If I do not accept a game invite right away, it means I will once I have fewer games in progress.

Dear Pente World
I am going to apologize to everyone involved especially Karl. I had one of those rare moments that seems like an eternity ago after seeing this thread title. It brought back such fond memories of something I love dearly today. Pente
New paragraph hehehe I found out some very disturbing news and my life changed. I was scared and writing this story made time stand still, so I didn't have to think about the future. Please stop all the life and death stuff. I am a very positive person and you all need to be too. I am going to out live even Karl (If I don't kick his ;;; first) Only kidding my young friend.
Today is a very good day and I am going to once again apologize for what I said to Karl. All that crap was crap and shouldn't have been said.
Gee look at all the paragraphs, I do love this site and will always love the game of pente. So have some fun because I will be with you for many more games of Pente.

Lets be very honest here. I can come into o this site and find conversations on almost anything no matter how mundane. But try to find a game? I'd have an easier time trying to make it with my ex-wife.(socially incorrect?) This mumbo jumbo that is being written here is the main reason I don't frequent this site anymore. I have been here a few times in the last month and just cant get a game. So I must bid this site adieu, never to return. I trust that most of you don't know me, so you don't really care if I come back or not. Well to you, I say....pppfffffttt. To those who would like to see me return, please don't hold your breath. It wouldn't turn out to be a good thing. So, now that I'm leav..............wait a minute. I just saw Melanie's pic on her comments. Dudes, I'm sticking around! Hey mel? Dinner and dancing this weekend? Send me a msg.

Here's a story. Back in the 90s I decided to try doing a little Pente promotion. Having played in the school chess club in junior high/high school, I figured a local Chess club might be a good way to find people who might be interested in learning the game. So, I headed over to the local school and asked the teacher who supervised the club if I could attend their gatherings and attempt to teach anyone interested in learning Pente. He agreed. My next step involved creating an incentive for people to learn, so I offered a $10 prize to the first person who beat me. It took a month or two, but during the last meeting of the year 2 players teamed up and I made an unintentional blunder, so they split the $10 prize. Since I moved before the beginning of the next school year, I never found out whether any of them continued to play... who knows, maybe one (or both) of them now plays here and will recognise the story.
Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat
